Hello, hello!

My name is Roman Ellis, and I’m a 25-year-old singer-songwriter based in my home area of Norfolk County, Ontario. Music has always been my deepest passion and my most therapeutic outlet, even before I knew I wanted to make it my career.

 

I've been writing songs since I was eight years old, and have since learned about the art of songwriting from the likes of Tia McGraff (award-winning folk musician), Moe Berg (of The Pursuit of Happiness), David Martin (ex-staff writer at Sony Records Canada), and Mike Roth (ex-senior VP of Sony Music Entertainment Canada). I draw a lot of inspiration from a lot of places, but most of all, I admire the lyrical prowess of Arctic Monkeys, Paramore’s electric intensity, Vision Video’s sombre allure, and Hot Mulligan’s raw edge.

 

When I'm not working on music, you can find me writing my first novel, painting my Warhammer minis, or spending time with my loved ones.
